Paint my cat? You’ll be lucky to get near her with a brush… Thankfully, the virtual cats in Nanu Interactive’s new iPad app Paint My Cat are more obliging.
It’s neat, actually. You start with a 2D cat drawing, which your child can paint using a row of virtual brushes.
But the clever bit comes when the cat peels itself off the background and turns into a 3D animal, which then wanders around virtual rooms playing with his toys.
You can paint those toys too, give your cat hats and other accessories, and use an augmented reality feature to project the cat into the real world. Which sounds a bit geeky, but we think it’ll put sparks in the eyes of children when they see it.
Paint My Cat costs £1.49 on the App Store, and runs on iPad. Here’s a video of it in action:
