10.25.12Pudsey’s Dream Wheels app brings Children in Need to iOSThis year's Children in Need telethon will take place on Friday 16 November, but fundraising and other activities are already well underway. Including a new app called Pudsey's Dream Wheels. It's a collaboration between the children's charity, Peugot and developer Triad, which is a free download for iPhone and iPad. The idea: "Have fun designing your very own car". That means picking textures and images including flames, flags, racing stripes and cupcakes (cupcakes?!), tweaking the colours, and then adding lights, rims, spoilers and bumpers. 06.05.12MotoGP has a new official iPhone app… for kidsAre children interested in MotoGP? Really? I'm dubious. But perhaps that's exactly the reason why there's now an official MotoGP iPhone app aimed at children, to spark their interest in two-wheely racing. The app, which is free, is called MotoGP Kids 10 in 1, and as the name implies it features 10 mini-games and interactive activities, all based on the sport. That means colouring, counting, puzzles, spelling and memory tests, and some proper racing action. 05.15.12Mattel launches Apptivity Hot Wheels app for iPadLast year, Disney released an iPad app called Cars 2 AppMATes, which involved placing a real toy car on top of your tablet, and then 'driving' it around virtual roads on-screen. Now Mattel has done... well, pretty much the same thing, with its Apptivity Hot Wheels app. It's also for iPad, and also free – the expense presumably comes with buying the special car.
