The latest one, Disney Junior Appisodes, is much more about TV shows. Aimed at pre-school children, the app brings full-length episodes of shows on the Disney Junior channel to iOS devices, offering mini-games and interactivity around them. The app includes one episode for free: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally, with others available as in-app purchases for £2.99 apiece. 05.13.13Toy Story: Story Theater review (iPhone / iPad)Disney's latest Toy Story app doesn't just want children to read and/or watch stories: it wants them to create some tales of their very own, using the characters from the Toy Story films. Available for iPhone and iPad, Toy Story: Story Theater offers a range of scenery, from the Wild West and the Arctic to Outer Space, with digital stickers for characters and props. 05.09.13Disney’s Club Penguin gets an official iPad appDisney's Club Penguin virtual world remains very popular among pre-teens, with 175m registered members. Now it's got its very own iPad app. The app is called My Penguin, and it launched today as a free download for Apple's tablet. It's designed for playing some of the main website's mini-games, with kids able to earn virtual coins to transfer back and spend on their penguin characters. The games are Pufflescape, Puffle Rescue, Puffle Roundup and Ice Fishing (trust us: if your children use Club Penguin, they'll recognise these names) along with a brand new game called Sushi Drop. Lost episode hurls onto iPhone and iPadEarlier this year, we wrote about Disney's fun break 'em up game Toy Story: Smash It! – "clearly inspired by Angry Birds, except in 3D, with the birds replaced by Buzz and the cheeky pigs replaced by aliens". Still, for young American fans of all things Disney (and their parents) it's well worth a look: a digital edition of the Disney Junior magazine with added interactivity and colouring activities. They want to interact with them, and maybe even create their own tales. Disney Princess: Story Theater is one of a growing number of apps helping with the latter. 04.04.13Disney gives kids paws for thought with Mittens gameDisney's Where's My Water? game has been popular with children and adults alike. Now the company is unleashing another new character in a mobile game: Mittens. Released today for iPhone and iPad, it's a collection of physics-based puzzles starring a cute cat named Mittens. The game includes 75 levels in which Mittens has to avoid traps, collect milk, balloons and other gifts, and win the heart of his soulmate Mia. The levels are split into three packs – Milktown, Balloonland and Mouse Cave – with a fourth pack of 25 levels (Fishing Harbor) available for an in-app purchase of 69p. More packs ...
