06.11.13Classic Winnie-the-Pooh app wanders onto iPhone and iPadHere's a treat for anyone with fond memories of A.A. Milne's original Winnie-the-Pooh stories, and the illustrations that accompanied them. There's an app for that. It's called Classic Winnie-the-Pooh, and has been released for iOS by book publisher Egmont UK. The app collects those original stories, adding colour and animation to the illustrations. Actor Rufus Jones is on board to provide voice narration, too. The app comes with one free story: 'We Are Introduced to Winnie-the-Pooh and Some Bees and the Stories Begin'. 05.25.13This Goldilocks app for iPad and iPhone stands out from the crowd – and is free until Monday 27th MayThe tale of naughty Goldilocks and the Three Bears has been a favourite for generations, so it’s no surprise that there are lots of apps available – in fact we found no fewer than 169 on the App Store today! This one, however, stands out from the crowd, and is well worth a look. Narrated by a (British) child, there are lots of sound effects and plenty of amusing animations to discover. It's quickly followed up with another playful app for toddlers: Sago Mini Forest Flyer. This time round, a colourful bird named Robin is the hero. 05.22.13PetitRocket Mission to Mars app blasts off on iPhonePerhaps by the time our children are grown up, they'll be able to travel to Mars for their holidays on passenger-spaceships. For now, they'll have to make do with iPhone app PetitRocket Mission to Mars. It's a fun, well-crafted app that starts by taking a photograph of your child using the iPhone's front-facing camera, thus making them the astronaut peering out of the app's little orange rocket.
